Dear Bangor Families,
As April approaches and Spring Break looms around the corner, I would like to take this opportunity to notify you of the upcoming Michigan Student Test for Educational Progress (M-Step). All students in grades 5-8 will be expected to complete this test. This test is designed to measure student growth effectively for today’s students. Upon returning from Spring Break the 8th graders will begin this testing session. 5th grade - April 17th ELA

Thank you to all the families that came out to support the middle school parent teacher conference night on February 22nd. It was a good spring turnout as we had 51% of parents and families attend. Thank you for your continued support!
Please assist me in welcoming Mrs. Alex Packer, Mrs. Tracie Osborn and Mr. Zack Page-Wood to our middle school team.
Mrs. Packer will be leading our 8th grade English department. Mrs. Packer is excited and eager to be a Viking and has hit the ground running with our 8th grade students.
Mrs. Osborn takes over replacing Mr. Hoch’s retirement in our STEM classes. Mrs. Osborn has a strong passion for maker spaces and project based learning. All students are currently designing and constructing roller coasters within her classroom.
Mr. Page-Wood takes over as the Middle and High School Art teacher. Mr. Page-Wood has a strong passion for virtual art and is incorporating technology within the classroom meeting the needs of all students.
As marking period 3 draws to an end (March 23rd), Bangor middle school has been providing some engaging and enriching activities for students. We continue to strive to build relationships among all, make connections when possible and introduce rigorous and relevant material to our middle school students.
